    Each department inventoried the kits that they had on hand.

    Review Reports

    Request, read, and analyze each report to determine if case fits current strategy.

    Kit Delivery

    Kits are brought in for packaging and shipment to the independent lab.

    Bode Cellmark

    Forensic testing attempting to obtain a DNA profile.

  5. 5

    Marshall University

    Technical review of the results from Bode Cellmark.

  6. 6

    Department of Criminal Investigation (DCI)

    Results are received and eligible profiles are entered into CODIS, the FBI's Combined DNA Index System.

  7. 7

    Originating Agency

    CODIS hits are sent to the orginating agency for follow-up investigations.
